Astraco is looking for an experienced Workshop Engineer to manage workshop operations, maintenance activities, and technical support for heavy equipment and vehicles. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient repairs, preventive maintenance, and minimum equipment downtime.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily workshop maintenance and repair activities.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues.
• Plan and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
• Supervise technicians and ensure quality completion of repair works.
• Maintain service records, job cards, and maintenance reports.
• Coordinate with site teams for equipment breakdowns and maintenance requirements.
• Ensure safe workshop practices and proper use of tools and equipment.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy equipment/workshop maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
• Experience with excavators, JCB, loaders, trucks, and construction equipment preferred.
• UAE/GCC experience preferred.
• Good communication and troubleshooting skills.
