KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Warehouse Operations & Management
▪ Oversee all daily warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns processing
▪ Plan and manage warehouse layout, zoning, and space utilization to maximize storage capacity and operational efficiency
▪ Ensure accurate stock management through regular cycle counts, stock takes, and inventory reconciliations
▪ Maintain high order accuracy and fulfilment rates — monitor picking errors and implement corrective actions
▪ Manage inbound and outbound shipment schedules in coordination with suppliers and the transport team
Inventory & Stock Control
▪ Implement and enforce FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) protocols, critical for food product handling
▪ Monitor stock levels, flag slow-moving or near-expiry products, and coordinate with commercial teams for clearance actions
▪ Maintain stock accuracy targets and minimize shrinkage, damage, and write-offs
▪ Manage bonded and non-bonded stock areas where applicable, ensuring compliance with customs requirements
Food Safety & Compliance
▪ Ensure full compliance with UAE food safety regulations including HACCP principles, Dubai Municipality, and Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) standards
▪ Maintain appropriate temperature-controlled storage conditions for chilled, frozen, and ambient food products
▪ Enforce hygiene, pest control, and sanitation protocols throughout the warehouse facility
▪ Manage product traceability and recall readiness — ensure all batch records and documentation are accurate and accessible
Health, Safety & Facility Management
▪ Champion a strong health and safety culture — enforce safe working practices, PPE usage, and equipment handling procedures
▪ Conduct regular warehouse safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
▪ Manage and maintain all warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, racking systems, and temperature monitoring devices
▪ Ensure the facility is audit-ready at all times for customer, principal, and regulatory inspections
Team Leadership & People Management
▪ Lead, manage, and develop a team of warehouse supervisors, storekeepers, pickers, and forklift operators
▪ Plan workforce scheduling, shift rotations, and overtime to meet operational demands and seasonal peaks
▪ Conduct performance reviews, training, and disciplinary procedures in line with company policy
▪ Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork on the warehouse floor
Systems, Reporting & KPIs
▪ Manage warehouse operations through a Warehouse Management System (WMS) — ensure all staff are trained and compliant
▪ Track and report key warehouse KPIs: on-time dispatch, order accuracy, stock accuracy, damage rate, and productivity per head
▪ Identify and implement process improvements to reduce cost, improve throughput, and enhance service levels
▪ Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for senior management
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
▪ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field (preferred; diploma with strong experience considered)
▪ 5–10 years of warehouse management experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
▪ Proven experience managing FMCG or food & beverage warehouses in the UAE or GCC — essential
▪ Experience with temperature-controlled (chilled/frozen) and ambient warehouse operations is a strong advantage
Technical Skills
▪ Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) — experience with SAP WM/EWM, Oracle, Infor, or similar platforms
▪ Strong MS Excel skills for reporting, data analysis, and stock management
▪ Working knowledge of UAE food safety regulations, HACCP, and relevant municipality requirements
▪ Forklift operation certification and knowledge of racking safety standards
▪ Understanding of customs and bonded warehouse procedures is an advantage
Soft Skills & Attributes
▪ Strong leadership presence — leads by example on the warehouse floor
▪ Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
▪ Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and operational discipline
▪ Good communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic, Hindi, or Urdu is an advantage given the multicultural UAE workforce
PREFERRED BACKGROUND
▪ Experience managing a warehouse of 5,000 sqm or above in a UAE FMCG or food distribution context
▪ Familiarity with Retail (MT/TT) and HoReCa order fulfilment requirements and delivery standards
▪ Prior experience implementing or upgrading a WMS system
▪ IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent HSE qualification is a plus
Pay: AED1.00 – AED15,000.00 per month
