Warehouse Dock Helper (Full-Time) Starting at $18.70/hour

Schedule:

• Required Days: Sunday – Thursday
• Start Time: 6:00 a.m. until work is complete (typically a 10-hour shift)
• Pay Rate: $18.70
• Note: Holidays are considered regular workdays for this position.

Position Summary:

SGC Foodservice is seeking a dependable and hardworking Warehouse Dock Helper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for unloading trucks using pallet jacks and hand-stacking boxes, bags, and various other items. The work environment includes temperature ranges from -5F to ambient, and requires frequent lifting of items weighing 4060 lbs.

This is a physically demanding position that requires attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. No previous experience is requiredwe will train the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Unload trucks using pallet jacks and by hand-stacking items
• Handle continuous lifting of 4060 lbs., with some lifting up to 100 lbs.
• Work in a variety of temperatures (-5F to ambient)
• Maintain attention to detail and accurate order handling
• Adhere to strict attendance and punctuality requirements
• Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to work in temperatures ranging from -20F to 100F
• Strong oral communication skills and basic math skills
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Physical ability to perform labor-intensive work for extended periods
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment including pallet jacks, forklifts, high lifts, man-ups, chargers, and shrink wrappers

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift heavy objects
• Must frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs., and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Vision requirements include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception and the ability to adjust focus

Conditions of Employment:

• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check and substance abuse screening
• Must consistently meet job requirements throughout employment
