Duties

• Greet guests warmly, manage reservations using OpenTable, and seat them promptly to enhance their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring efficient order processing
• Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities while providing personalized recommendations based on guest preferences
• Serve food and beverages with professionalism, ensuring proper food handling, sanitation, and presentation standards are maintained
• Assist with bussing tables, cleaning, and resetting dining areas to uphold cleanliness and sanitation protocols
• Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction
• Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation or food handling tasks when needed during busy periods

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, including host/hostess or serving roles preferred
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
• Culinary experience or understanding of food preparation and safety standards is highly desirable
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
• Demonstrated ability in sales techniques like upselling to increase revenue while maintaining guest satisfaction
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
• Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and accurate order processing
• Knowledge of sanitation practices, food safety regulations, and proper food handling procedures
