Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, highlighting daily specials and beverage options.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery.
- Upsell menu items and suggest pairings to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation.
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods in a fast-paced environment.
- Utilize reservation systems like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating arrangements for maximum efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven restaurant experience with a strong background in food service or hospitality roles.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests confidently and professionally.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is advantageous for understanding menu items and preparation standards.
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining guest satisfaction.
