Waiter / Waitress

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and seat customers courteously.
  • Present menus, provide detailed information about menu items, and make recommendations when requested.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen staff.
  • Serve food and drinks promptly and efficiently according to restaurant standards.
  • Check with customers to ensure satisfaction with each course and beverage.
  • Handle billing and payment transactions accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, service areas, and dining areas.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in setting up and closing down the restaurant or dining area.
  • Work closely with other team members and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3- 5 years of work experience as a waiter/waitress or in customer service (preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Attention to detail and high level of personal hygiene.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Basic math skills for handling payments.
  • Food handling or hospitality certification (an advantage).
