Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Prepare and serve drinks, including cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area, tables, and dining space in compliance with food safety regulations
• Handle cash transactions accurately through POS or cashiering systems; process payments efficiently
• Assist with food handling, food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed
• Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly and resolving issues professionally
• Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements and optimize flow during busy hours
• Support host/hostess duties by managing waitlists and guiding guests to their tables in a friendly manner

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife venues such as nightclubs
• Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Skilled in upselling techniques to maximize sales while enhancing guest experience
• Effective time management to handle multiple tables or bar stations efficiently during peak hours
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and inventory management
• Previous experience in bartending or serving roles that involve culinary knowledge or kitchen support is highly desirable
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment
