Immediate Supervisor:
Manager on Duty
Job Summary:
Smiling, maintaining a culture of hospitality. Anticipating guests needs, describing and merchandising food and beverages to guests, accurately taking food and beverage orders, ringing in all items on point of sale system, serving drinks and food to guests in a hospitable and friendly manner, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation, clearing and resetting tables, verifying legal drinking age of customers ordering alcohol, performing setup, breakdown, and side duties, assisting other staff members in their duties, and ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests.
Essential Job Functions:
- Smiling, maintaining a culture of hospitality
- Ability to anticipate guests needs.
- Initial greeting of guests within 2 minutes
- Accurately take food and beverage order,
- Accurately enter order into point of sale system,
- Knowledge of the order of service
- Delivery of guest check,
- Clearing and resetting tables,
- Perform general clean up and side duties within assigned time frame,
- Effectively communicate with guests, managers, and staff
- Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Necessary Skills and Attributes:
- Must be dressed neatly and well groomed in company approved dress code at all times
- Must be able to operate P.O.S. system
- Must be able to calmly respond to angry guests and notify a Manager
- Must be able to respond clearly to guests’ requests
- Must be able to hear well amongst loud background noise
- Must be able to frequently lift 30 lb. cases and carry short distances, up or down stairs
