The Transport Coordinator is responsible for organizing and overseeing daily transportation operations. This includes planning and assigning drivers to vehicles, and ensuring that deliveries — whether of goods or personnel — are completed accurately and on time. The position plays a key role in maintaining smooth and efficient logistics while meeting company policies and safety standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan and assign daily driver routes based on current delivery schedules and vehicle availability.
  • Make real-time updates to routes and assignments to address delays, changes in orders, or vehicle-related issues.
  • Collaborate with dispatch, warehouse, or kitchen teams to confirm orders are ready for delivery.
  • Provide drivers with clear instructions and route details.
  • Track ongoing deliveries to ensure they stay on schedule and proactively resolve any problems.
  • Monitor driver check-ins, route progress, and delivery completions.
  • Keep accurate records of insurance, licenses, inspections, and vehicle documentation.
  • Act as the point of contact between corporate office and teams.
  • Share operational updates with relevant departments in a timely manner.
  • Work alongside procurement and logistics departments to coordinate supply deliveries.
  • Maintain service logs and records for all vehicles in the fleet.
  • Document driver work schedules, completed deliveries, and any incidents.
  • Ensure that items delivered match what was ordered with precision.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience in transport logistics or fleet coordination.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
  • Proficiency in GPS tracking systems, fleet management tools, and Microsoft Office software.
  • Clear communication skills with a proactive approach to solving problems.
  • Familiar with UAE traffic laws and regulatory standards (or relevant local laws).
