Role Overview

We are seeking a capable and motivated Supermarket Supervisor to oversee daily store operations, ensure outstanding customer service, manage floor staff, and support the Store Manager in achieving operational and sales objectives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage day-to-day challenges efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

1. Store Operations

• Supervise daily supermarket activities including sales floor, counters, and checkout operations
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, hygiene, and proper product display across all departments
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with inventory and procurement teams for replenishment
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety, and food hygiene standards

2. Staff Supervision & Development

• Lead and guide floor staff, cashiers, and section in-charges
• Prepare duty rosters and allocate work effectively
• Monitor staff performance, provide training, and build a customer-focused team
• Resolve staff issues and escalate to management when required

3. Customer Service

• Ensure customers receive excellent service and assistance
• Handle customer complaints professionally and efficiently
• Maintain a friendly, welcoming, and service-oriented store environment
