About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Female Cashier to join our supermarket team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service at the checkout counter, process transactions accurately, and help maintain a smooth, efficient shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, efficient service at checkout
• Accurately scan and total items, and process cash, card, and digital payments
• Handle cash register operations including opening/closing balances and daily reconciliation
• Issue receipts, refunds, and change correctly
• Bag items properly and assist customers with packing when needed
• Answer customer queries about products, prices, and promotions
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
• Monitor and report any pricing discrepancies or product issues
• Follow all company policies on loss prevention, cash handling, and security
• Assist with restocking, shelf organization, or other store duties during slow periods, as needed
• Handle customer complaints calmly and escalate to a supervisor when necessary

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous cashier or retail experience preferred (freshers may also apply)
• Basic math skills and comfort using POS (Point of Sale) systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle a fast-paced environment
• Honesty, attention to detail, and a customer-first attitude
• Basic English communication skills required; additional languages (Arabic, Hindi, etc.) a plus
• Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
