JOB OVERVIEW:

The Studio Associate position will work alongside our current studio team with shared responsibility for the daily operations of the locations. These responsibilities include managing inbound appointment requests, artist scheduling, light cleaning, and client check-in/payment processing. This is a fast-paced, operationally focused role with a high level of client interaction, requiring strong multitasking and organizational skills.

Experience in high-end retail or hospitality is preferred but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client Booking Process

  • Handle a high volume of appointment request emails; maintain response time and booking conversion in line with studio standards.
  • Document and organize client requests, artist/management notes, and appointment details using a combination of G Suite and Asana software.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to client inquiries.
  • Communicate policies and procedures effectively to clients and artists.
  • Maintain clarity in scheduling, ensuring transparency in artist availability and appointment logistics.

Client Experience

  • Conduct client check-in and studio welcome upon arrival.
  • Identify client needs and provide compassionate, professional service at all times.
  • Walk clients through aftercare and other follow-up procedures after appointments.
  • Process payments and manage tracking through Square POS.
  • Assist in maintaining studio flow during high-traffic periods.

Studio Maintenance & Organization

  • Assist in inventory stock checks and ordering as needed.
  • Maintain studio cleanliness and presentation, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Support cleaning and turnover of artist stations as required.
  • Monitor and restock artist supplies during tattoo sessions.

ROLE EXPECTATIONS & WORK CULTURE:

  • Artist Interactions: While this role involves collaboration with artists, the primary focus is client communications and operational tasks. Artist engagement may vary, and associates should be prepared for a professional but independent working dynamic.
  • Shift Expectations & Flexibility: Closing shifts may extend beyond scheduled hours based on artist and client needs, so flexibility is required. Team members will be notified as early as possible regarding extended shifts, and efforts will be made to respect scheduled hours.
