1. Receive and Inspect Goods
- Receive deliveries and check if the quantity and quality match the order.
- Report any damaged or missing items.
2. Organize and Store Items
- Arrange items in the store or stockroom neatly.
- Label items and place them in the correct storage location.
3. Keep Records
- Maintain accurate records of stock received and issued.
- Use stock register, inventory sheets, or software to track inventory.
4. Issue Stock to Departments
- Provide ingredients, supplies, or materials to the kitchen and other departments.
- Ensure stock is issued as per request and properly recorded.
5. Monitor Stock Levels
- Check stock levels regularly.
- Inform management when stock is low or needs to be reordered.
6. Avoid Waste and Loss
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) method to use old stock first.
- Ensure proper storage to prevent spoilage, theft, or damage.
7. Assist with Inventory Counts
- Help with monthly or weekly stock counts.
- Report any discrepancies between physical stock and records.
8. Maintain Cleanliness and Safety
- Keep the store area clean and organized.
- Follow safety and hygiene rules, especially when handling food items.
