What you’ll do at DBH:
The Ohio Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) is seeking a dedicated Storekeeper 1 to support warehouse and inventory operations within a pharmaceutical or medical supply environment. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, distributing, and tracking stock and equipment. It ensures accurate inventory control, proper handling of pharmaceutical products (including returns and recalls), and timely fulfillment of orders to maintain customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and Distribute Inventory:
Receives incoming stock and equipment; distributes items to appropriate locations while ensuring accuracy and proper documentation. - Order Fulfillment and Shipping:
Pulls, packs, and ships drug orders using RF handheld scanners; prepares shipments for UPS or commercial carriers to ensure timely delivery. - Returns Processing and Documentation:
Verifies returned merchandise for quality and compliance; processes credits, tracks serial numbers using RapidRx, and maintains records for audit purposes. - Inventory Management and Control:
Assists with cycle counts and annual inventories; inputs inventory adjustments into IRMS; monitors stock levels, rotates inventory, and ensures proper storage conditions. - Warehouse Operations and Safety Maintenance:
Maintains cleanliness and organization of the storeroom and dock; inspects incoming goods; performs basic maintenance and safety checks on equipment such as forklifts.
This is an hourly position covered by the OCSEA/AFSCME bargaining unit (union), with a pay range of 25 on the OCSEA Pay Range Schedule.Normal working hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. This position is located within Ohio Pharmacy Servicesat2150 West Broad St., Columbus, Ohio 43223.
Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.Why Work for the State of Ohio
