Full job description

Job Purpose:
To manage, control, and safeguard all construction materials, tools, and equipment at site and warehouse locations, ensuring accurate inventory records, timely issuance, and compliance with company and project procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify construction materials against delivery notes and purchase orders
  • Record all inward and outward material movements in store logs.
  • Issue materials to site teams based on approved material request forms
  • Maintain proper storage, labeling, and safety standards
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
  • Monitor minimum stock levels and coordinate replenishment with procurement
  • Manage tools and equipment handover and returns
  • Prepare monthly inventory and consumption reports
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications and company procedures

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 1-2 years experience as a Storekeeper in contracting or construction companies
  • Knowledge of construction materials, tools, and inventory control procedures

Education:

  • Intermediate Secondary
  • Good Microsoft (Excel, Word, PP) Skills
  • Typing Skills

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure on construction sites
  • Good communication skills
