About you and this role – What you will do in this role
The Poly Logistics Day Technician/Coordinator is responsible for the successful operation of Poly Site Logistics. This role involves completing assigned MTL tasks and performing various responsibilities related to plant operations and maintenance.
Responsibilities – Duties, projects, tasks, and activities you would be responsible for in this role but not limited to
- Track partial car counts and create plan for reductions.
- Update, Generate, and Develop Operating Modules for Hopper Truck, Loaders, Hopper Car Wash, and Hopper Truck Inspectors.
- Help Activity Schedulers schedule partial loads, overloads, and unloads.
- Audit Wash facilities to ensure cleanliness of Hopper cars and removal of water.
- Coaches and trains wash rack employees.
- Tagging and prep equipment for maintenance.
- Provide direction as needed on railcar moves.
- Write logbook notes and communicate task and permit statuses.
- Housekeeping responsibilities for designated areas.
- Complete various check sheets and inspections.
- Maintain and create operating procedures.
- Performs tasks assigned to operations as per Master Task List field checks, equipment preparation, etc.
- Uses trouble shooting skills to resolve process related deviations and problems.
- Perform process equipment troubleshooting, minor repairs, improvements and preventative maintenance, utilizing appropriate processes and disciplines.
