Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Showroom Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our showroom, providing exceptional customer service while assisting clients with products and materials. Your enthusiasm for high-end sales, custom exterior spaces, and renovation projects will drive customer engagement and help create inspiring spaces. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in retail sales, inside and outside sales, and product demonstrations within a vibrant and fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Greet visitors warmly, identify their needs, and guide them through showroom displays and product options
  • Conduct product demos to showcase features of lighting fixtures, furniture, or remodeling materials
  • Upsell complementary products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales revenue
  • Manage inside sales activities including POS transactions, cash handling, and retail math calculations
  • Maintain organized merchandise displays, stock levels, and showroom cleanliness to ensure an inviting environment
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote new products or special events through effective merchandising strategies
  • Support account management by following up with clients post-sale and assisting with after-sales service requests
  • Assist with scheduling for onsite consultations
  • Work with and assist the customer relations manager

Experience

  • Proven experience in retail sales or customer service within a showroom or similar environment
  • Familiarity with product sales, interior/ landscape design, remodeling, or construction projects is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in SketchUp, CAD or software is a plus
  • Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are an advantage for diverse clientele
  • Demonstrated ability in outside sales or account management to build lasting client relationships
  • Knowledge of merchandising techniques and marketing strategies to attract customers effectively
  • Basic math skills for retail math calculations, POS transactions, and inventory management
  • Experience handling cash registers (POS systems), cashiering duties, and stock organization
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
