Overview:

Shermco is looking to hire a Shop Technician in Phoenix.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the office warehouse
  • Prepare projects by staging equipment and materials
  • Clean, inspect, test, and charge technical and test equipment
  • Support fleet management activities, including coordination and basic oversight
  • Assist the breaker shop as needed
  • Support weekend outage work as required
  • Perform minor general office maintenance (e.g., replacing air filters, lights, and similar tasks)
  • Facilitate workflow and material flow processes for vendors
  • Track and manage rental equipment, ensuring accurate records and timely returns

Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Prior experience in a warehouse, technical, or maintenance support role preferred
    • Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Willingness to work weekends or non-standard hours as needed
    • Ability to lift and move equipment in a warehouse environment
  • Combination of office, warehouse, and field support
  • May require standing, lifting, and hands-on equipment handling
