Shop Helper (Plumbing, HVACElectrical)

Hours

Full-Time: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Part-Time: Flexible weekday hours based on workload and department needs.

General Purpose of Job

The Shop Helper supports daily operations by keeping the shop, warehouse, yard, and company vehicles clean, stocked, organized, and ready for work. This is an entry-level position designed for someone who is dependable, coachable, and willing to learn. The Shop Helper helps stage materials, load and unload tools and equipment, organize supplies, and support technicians and installers with shop and field support needs. This role is a strong starting point for someone who wants hands-on work and a possible future in the trades.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Keep the shop, warehouse, yard, and common areas clean, safe, organized, and professional.
• Receive, move, stock, label, and organize materials, parts, tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Stage tools, parts, and materials for upcoming service and install jobs.
• Help load and unload trucks, materials, and equipment.
• Restock commonly used shop and truck items.
• Remove debris, cardboard, scrap, and trash and keep disposal areas orderly.
• Help clean and organize company vehicles, storage areas, and workstations.
• Assist managers and field personnel with general shop support tasks.
• Report low stock, damaged tools, unsafe conditions, or organization issues to management promptly.
• Follow all safety procedures and use required protective equipment properly.
• Maintain a positive attitude, respectful communication, and professional conduct.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support company operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• No prior trade experience required.
• Shop, warehouse, construction, landscaping, delivery, or labor experience is helpful but not required.
• Basic familiarity with tools and materials is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required with clean driving record the position will include parts runs or vehicle movement.
