Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently, processing customer transactions.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving issues.
• Sell products by understanding customer needs and recommending appropriate items.
• Handle cash transactions with accuracy, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Assist in stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining a clean sales floor.
• Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory levels and assist with pricing adjustments.
• Maintain phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and enhance overall customer satisfaction.

Experience

• Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with cash register operations and cash handling procedures is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
• Basic knowledge of retail sales techniques and grocery store operations is beneficial.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
