Diamond Home Improvement has immediate openings for highly motivated and experienced individuals to join our team. We have both Part Time and Full Time cashiering positions available. Main area of responsibility is assisting each customer with a friendly greeting and a smile in finding and processing their transactions in a quick and courteous manner.

Summary: Provides a positive check-out experience to our customers by providing rapid, accurate and friendly service. The Cashier must be alert to detect and prevent shop lifting, cash register scams and theft.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Proactively greets customers in a friendly manner. Offers help, service and knowledge to ensure a satisfied customer. Thanks each customer for shopping at Diamond.
• Actively seeks customers to bring to his/her register to ensure a minimal waiting time for our customers. Calls for cashier backup wherever two or more customers are in line, or if you have a transaction which will take some time because of the number of separate items being purchased or returned.
• Rings up all merchandise under the correct SKU and scans all the items.
• Able to direct customers to merchandise locations.
• Sells additional merchandise by asking if this is all they need and suggesting associated items.
