Located inside The Jordan Hotel, we make life easy, convenient and beautiful when it comes to event planning. With overnight accommodations, lake views and in-house catering led by The Shore’s executive chef Jesse Prior, we are a prime destination.

The Sales and Events Manager is responsible for driving events and group sales, cultivating strong client relationships, and ensuring the seamless execution of weddings, corporate functions, and social events. They thrive in a fast-paced environment and excel at balancing strategic sales initiatives with hands-on event coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive group, corporate, social, and banquet sales to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Respond to all client inquiries in a timely, professional, and service-oriented manner.
  • Conduct site tours, develop customized proposals, and negotiate contracts tailored to client needs.
  • Oversee the full event lifecycle, from initial inquiry through to successful execution and post-event follow-up.
  • Coordinate invoicing, deposits, and final payment collection with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Develop creative event concepts and solutions that enhance client experience and differentiate our offerings.
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, and participation in industry events.
  • Collaborate closely with culinary, banquet, and operations teams to ensure alignment and execution excellence.
  • Manage event setup and provide on-site oversight, addressing challenges with proactive problem-solving.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and prepare detailed sales and performance reports.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service to foster repeat business and long-term client relationships.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in hospitality sales and/or event management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with weddings, corporate events, and/or banquet operations.
  • Familiarity with CRM or PMS systems is considered a valuable asset.
  • Demonstrated creativity in event planning and a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required to support event schedules.
