Department: Resort Housekeeping

Reports To: Room Inspector/Supervisor/Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Pay Grade: Grade 2

Starting Wage: $15.00 – $17.00

Gaming Class: Compact/Gaming License Required

Position Summary:

The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning guest rooms as assigned and ensuring the Resort’s established standards of cleanliness. The Room Attendant is responsible for reporting any deficiencies, handling guest requests or complaints, and ensuring the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

The Room Attendant is responsible for the following duties:

  • Use correct cleaning chemical for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and Resort requirements.
  • Clean guest rooms when vacated and stay-over rooms after 9:30 a.m.
  • Transport cart with cleaning supplies, amenities, and linens to assigned guest room and position securely.
  • Thoroughly clean all areas in the room as described in Polices and Procedure book.
  • Keep all cleaning equipment and tools in good working condition; report when repair parts are needed.
  • Ensure security of any assigned guest room.
  • Handle guests’ complaints by following the proper procedure to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Report any damage or maintenance problem to the Manager or Room Inspector.
  • Maintain a lost and found log and secure guest items in locked storage/closet; notify Housekeeping Manager of lost and found items.
  • Maintain a comfortable, clean, and safe environment.
  • Be neat in appearance and in uniform.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
