Job Summary:
A Restaurant Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service by accurately processing customer orders and payments, handling cash transactions, and ensuring a positive dining experience. The cashier serves as the first point of contact for customers and helps maintain smooth restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Process cash, credit card, and digital payment transactions.
• Issue receipts, refunds, and change when necessary.
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer and balance cash at the end of each shift.
• Answer customer inquiries regarding menu items, prices, and promotions.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely order preparation.
• Keep the cashier area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Assist in handling customer complaints and resolving issues professionally.
• Follow company policies, food safety standards, and cash-handling procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous cashier or customer service experience is an advantage.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Honest, reliable, and detail-oriented.
