About the Role:
Weatherly Inn is looking for a highly motivated, organized, and friendly individual to join our Wellness Center team full-time. This key position supports the care and well-being of our residents by providing exceptional service, assisting with administrative and resident care tasks, and maintaining clear communication with staff and families.

Job Skills (Abilities essential to the job.)
- Read, write, speak and understand English.
- Lift 50 pounds and carry 25 pounds.
- Push 250 pound resident in wheelchair or cart of same weight.
- Sit, stand, walk, squat, and bend at waist multiple times a shift.
- Perform repetitive arm/hand movement & reach above shoulder.
- Proficient at operating: extractor vacuum, copier, computer, multi-line phone, filing.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; College Degree preferred
- Experience: 2+ years in a similar or related role required
- Training: Must complete Dementia & Mental Health Training within 90 days of hire
- Licenses/Certifications: None required
Responsibilities (Basic essentials of the position)
- Learn to know special needs of residents and report changes in behavior (physical or emotional) to nursing.
- Be familiar with and follow Employee Handbook, Performance Expectations, and specific job duties.
- Able to receive/return routine phone calls from TWI within 24 hours; urgent within 4
- Report needed repairs or unsafe conditions to maintenance or supervisor.
- Report immediately any on the job injury to supervisor or charge nurse.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Provide exceptional service with high quality communication skills, while multitasking.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Consistently answer phone within two rings and appropriately direct calls or take messages (signing and dating.)
- Greet residents, staff or visitors within 2 seconds of approaching the desk.
- Answer call lights immediately.
- Assist with front desk/reception coverage.
- Notify appropriate nursing staff of the resident’s request for assistance and follow up as needed. Notify supervisor when caregiver does not respond or responds late, when there is no apparent justification.
- Notify caregivers to escort residents to Beauty Shop appointments, Van transportation, activities, manicures, etc., when part of the care plan or when asked.
- Keep Wellness Center desk and cupboards neat, clean, and organized.
- Update, review, thin computer, charts and binder documents as assigned by supervisor.
- Assist in the preparation and thinning of resident charts.
- Assist caregivers in recording vitals
- Complete and process guest and resident meal request in a timely manner.
- Complete employee call-in slips accurately and give to supervisor.
- Make staffing calls as directed.
- Check flow sheets daily to assure completion and signature, directing incomplete sheets to Staffing Coordinator.
- Complete office duties as directed by supervisor, including mailings and resident information lists.
- Prepare resident paperwork for physician appointments and confirms appointments with office and family, as appropriate.
- Recruit and train position back up for breaks and absences.
- Call or fax State Hotline when you observe or reasonably suspect abuse, neglect or exploitation and inform supervisor immediately.
