Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and ambitious professional to serve as a Medical Receptionist and Administrative Assistant. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver capable of managing complex projects with precision and speed. Key Responsibilities
● Standard Medical Receptionist duties: Greet patients; manage the check-in/check-out process, and provide necessary intake forms; scheduling and coordinating complex appointments, follow-ups, and diagnostic testing using our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system; clearly communicating in-person, electronically (EMR, secure messaging systems…), and by managing a multi-line phone system and directing calls and messages to the appropriate departments and staff members; verify insurance eligibility, obtain necessary authorizations, and collect co-pays or outstanding balances at the time of service; maintaining patient privacy and HIPAA compliance while handling sensitive medical records and updating demographic information.
● Administrative tasks as assigned by the manager, including research, data collection and analysis, and solution implementation.
Qualifications
Education: Minimum of two years of college education.
Experience: Prior receptionist or administrative experience experience is required.
Skills:
● Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Basic Excel knowledge is required.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills
● Attention to detail and the ability to focus on a project until completion, and multitask in a fast-paced environment, as needed.
● Knowledge of electronic medical records
