Full job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook Indian curries, gravies, dals, biryanis, and sautéed items as per standard recipes
- Ensure consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation
- Assist in preparation (cutting, marination, gravy base preparation, masalas)
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the cooking station/ kitchen
- Follow food safety and storage standards
- Coordinate with other teams for smooth service
- Monitor stock levels of spices, vegetables, meats, and inform seniors when needed
- Reduce wastage and maintain proper food cost control
Requirements:
- Minimum 2–4 years experience as a Range Cook in an Indian restaurant, Indo chinese knowledge or experience will be a great advantage
- Good knowledge of Indian cooking techniques
- Ability to work under pressure during peak hours
- Team player with positive attitude
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
- Must be Dubai Based
- Must be open to night shift
- Basic knowledge of tandoor section
- Ability to handle bulk cooking
- Male candidates only due to accommodation situation
