SALARY: $54,197, In addition to contractual COLA increases, the annual salary of $52,619 will in-crease by $400 on the anniversary date for three years.

DESCRIPTION:

This is technical work involving responsibility for assisting higher level Public Health Sanitarians and Engineers in carrying out the various elements of prevention and control programs affecting public health. Employees in this class are responsible for making in-spections and carrying out specialized phases of the environmental health program in a municipal health department. Duties involve gathering information for use by higher level Public Health Sanitarians and Engineers in determining compliance with local and state Sanitary Code requirements. The work is performed under general supervision of either a higher level technical or professional em-ployee who reviews reports and provides advisory assistance as necessary. Supervision over the work of others is not usually a responsibility of employees in this class. Does related work as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with at least a Bachelor’s degree including at least thirty (30) credit hours in the natural sciences, of which not more than twelve (12) credits may be in the applied sciences.
