The Production Assistant provides essential support to the brewing and production team through packaging, cleaning, organization, and general operational assistance.

This is a hands-on, task-driven role requiring strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a positive, team-oriented attitude. The Production Assistant helps ensure smooth day-to-day brewery operations while maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.

Reports To: Head Brewer, Brewery Manager

Works Closely With: Production Team (Brew, Cellar, Packaging)

Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Core Responsibilities

Production & Packaging Support

• Assist in packaging operations, including operation of a 12-head Palmer canning line
• Perform keg washing and preparation
• Support brewing and cellar operations as needed
• Assist with quality assurance processes and checks

Equipment & Facility Support

• Troubleshoot basic brewhouse and packaging equipment issues
• Maintain Micromatic draft systems
• Assist with preventative maintenance and general upkeep
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production facility and surrounding grounds

Safety, Sanitation & Compliance

• Properly handle chemicals used for cleaning and sanitization
• Follow all internal safety standards and procedures
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment
• Assist with brewery waste management (spent grain, yeast, trub, wastewater)
