Our mission at the Charles Webb Center is to aid in the growth and development of the children we serve, to develop each child’s sense of self-esteem and strengthen each child’s social, language and preschool skills.
Our center offers a quality development program for children from infancy through age five. We also offer an extended care program that provides children ages six through ten years old with an appropriate, educational setting for after school. At every stage, we focus on the individual strengths of each child to maximize his or her learning in all areas of development
Responsibilities include providing an atmosphere conducive to each student-reaching maximum potential along with a smooth functioning class environment by assisting in carrying out the educational programs and curriculum within a classroom.
Responsibilities include planning and preparing nutritious, good tasting and appealing meals and snacks for 30+ children ranging from 1 year to 10 years old and who have varying special needs. Also responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary facility per DSS Child Care licensing regulations and DHEC licensing. The candidate must be flexible and willing to fill in a classroom if necessary, must have a love for children of all ages, must have basic food preparation and nutritional knowledge and an enjoyment of cooking.
Minimum Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma (preferred) or GED, 18 years of age, one year experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities, physical ability to lift 40 pounds, acceptable criminal background check, a valid SC driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
