Piazza Cashiers are the face of the property as they are often the first people guests interact with upon arrival. Responsibilities will

include seating tables, delivering food to tables, ringing up guest purchases, organizing the retail, bussing tables, washing dishes, making pizzas and sandwiches, and maintaining cleanliness of the property.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Always approach all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner by maintaining a positive demeanor.
  • Promote a positive and caring work environment by addressing and resolving any conflict in a calm and poised manner.
  • Maintain regular attendance as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the individual property.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working.
  • Greet guests upon arrival and make them feel welcomed, always following the 5/10 rule.
  • Assist guests in finding retail products, and parties, ordering food, and closing out tickets.
  • Make sure to collect payment for each item ordered, and issue receipts and correct change when needed.
  • Check identification of all guests who order alcohol and appear under the age of 40 in order to verify they are of legal drinking age. If you are ever unsure of the validity of an ID take it to a manager for approval.
  • Provide quality service to all guests by responding to their questions and requests promptly, efficiently, and courteously.
  • Stay current on developments at the property by reviewing communications to each shift.
  • Ring all orders into the cash register or POS correctly.
  • Adhere to the property’s policies regarding the use of cash banks, drop/deposit logs, etc.
  • Stock shelves and perform a detailed inventory count.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the store, including sweeping, dusting, and removing trash and report any safety issues to management immediately.
  • Keep an accurate running tab for dine-in guests.
  • Keep track of all signed credit card receipts and promo material needed for the end of shift drop.
  • Make sure cash and log sheets balance before closing each shift.
  • Answer phones, take messages if needed, and report any messages to management.
  • Provides information to guests about facilities, entertainment options, and rules and regulations.
  • Perform opening and/or closing duties included in the daily checklist.
  • Perform daily and weekly cleaning assignments properly and by their due date.
  • Be able to diffuse conflict or tense situations with guests.
  • Follow all company policies, and procedures, and meet standards.
  • Must maintain a clean and safe work environment and report any safety issues to management immediately.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

1. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

2. Minimum 1 year of customer service experience required, hospitality industry preferred.

3. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, or scheduled form.

4. Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English in order to communicate with guests and team members.

5. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

6. Ability to work with computers and good knowledge of operating software preferred.

7. Friendliness, problem solving, and organizational skills needed.

8. Have a strong attention to details.

9. Must be able to communicate effectively and often handle disgruntled guests and difficult situations.

10. Must be able to multi-task.

11. Must be a team player.

12. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a high degree of autonomy.
