Job Summary
The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Personnel Security Specialist II/III to join our dynamic Personnel Security team. In this role, you will be entrusted with overseeing the administration and compliance of personnel security clearances and access authorizations, ensuring that every security measure meets government and corporate standards. You will be a critical contributor to our mission by meticulously processing security clearances for government customers and delivering on-site support for all security-related activities in strict adherence to both corporate policies and governmental directives. This position offers an opportunity to leverage your expertise in security protocols and regulatory compliance, directly supporting the integrity and success of our organization’s operations.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time on-site at our facility in El Segundo, CA.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Administers, executes, and ensures adherence to company and government regulations, policies, and procedures regarding the protection of government programs
- Conducts security indoctrination briefings, foreign travel briefings and termination debriefings
- Assists in designing, implementing, and conducting security training, briefings, and education programs
- Working on various complex government and internal databases.
- Processes security clearances and accesses in accordance with government regulations, provides guidance on the completion of security paperwork, and tracks all clearance submissions
- Provides management with clearance status reports
- Conducts fingerprinting, processes visit requests, and reports incidents to government customers
- Maintains security clearance records, tracking and metrics
- Interface with government customers, contractors, employees, and all levels of management
- Handles Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and must possess discretion in handling clearance information
- Conducts self-inspections/audits in compliance with government regulations
- Submits incident reports to government customers, provides guidance on reporting responsibilities, and assists employees with clearance issues
- Updates and writes procedures and corporate policies
