Painter

  • Prepare surfaces in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks.
  • Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes to walls, ceilings, doors, trim, and furniture using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
  • Ensure paint jobs meet high-quality standards, providing a clean, attractive, and durable finish.
  • Match colors and finishes to hotel branding and design specifications.
  • Remove old paint and wallpaper as needed, ensuring surfaces are ready for repainting.
  • Perform touch-ups and repairs promptly to maintain the hotel’s aesthetic appeal.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling and disposal of paints and solvents.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and housekeeping teams to schedule painting with minimal disruption to guests.
  • Maintain and clean painting tools and equipment after use.
  • Report any structural or surface issues that require further attention to the maintenance team.

Qualifications


Your experience and skills include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a painter, preferably in commercial or hospitality settings
  • Skilled in surface preparation techniques (sanding, filling, cleaning)
  • Knowledge of various painting methods (brush, roller, spray) and materials
  • Ability to match colors and finishes accurately according to design specifications
  • Familiarity with safety practices for handling paints, solvents, and equipment
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, neat finishes
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that involve standing, bending, and working at heights
  • Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with maintenance and housekeeping teams
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts and respond to urgent painting needs if required
