Outside Sales Representative

This role reports to the Sales Manager and has no managerial authority and no direct reports.

Description of the Role

The Outside Sales Representative is a key contributor in meeting and/or exceeding established sales goals and targets. They will conduct sales out in the field via face-to-face interactions with both potential and existing customers. The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for offering the best possible customer experience as well as providing hands-on explanations of any new or updated products when necessary. Leading by example is key when dealing with the administrative part of the job and when needed makes this position a jack of all trades who is adaptable, positive, analytical and detail oriented.

Role Accountabilities

Sell and make product recommendations

Meet customer needs while obtaining orders from existing or potential sales outlets

Ensure that the customer is satisfied and adequately taken care of while making a purchase

Establish new accounts for their employer

Be creative with solutions when issues or concerns arise from our customers or business partners

Develop and write proposals for our products in commercial and residential applications

Stay informed about product and service information updates

Be the communications conduit between administrative colleagues, inside sales representatives
customers, architects, engineers, contractors’, and business owners

Champion change while providing input to any policy, process, and procedural updates
