CopperLeaf Hotel + Spa, an exquisite retreat known for its unparalleled service, is searching for a talented and experienced Part-Time Night Auditor. The night auditor ensures the day’s financial transactions are accurate before “rolling the date” to the next business day, providing exceptional customer service, managing guest check-ins and check-outs, handling inquiries and complaints, and ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel’s front desk area during overnight hours. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, strong ability to work independently, attention to detail, and strong customer service orientation.

Key Responsibilities:

– Greet and welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a memorable first impression.
– Perform efficient check-ins and check-outs, while adhering to hotel policies and procedures.
– Perform simple bookkeeping activities, such as balancing receipts and revenues for the day, and perform income audit on all revenues posted (i.e., calculating restaurant checks to ensure proper revenues have been posted) prior to closing the day.
– Identify and correct billing discrepancies on guest folios.
– Complete various checks to ensure all accounts are current and comply with standards established by the hotel’s Controller and Assistant General Manager.
– Act as Manager on Duty during the overnight hours to resolve all disputes and all emergencies that may occur during the shift.
– Prepare all express-departure emails for guests.
– Log and complete all wake-up calls according to standards of service.
– Process all no-show rooms billing accurately.
– Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and courteously, delivering exceptional customer service.
– Provide accurate information about hotel facilities, amenities, and local attractions to enhance guest experiences.
– Process reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately and efficiently.
– Maintain a neat and organized front desk area, including the handling of financial transactions, and balancing of cash drawers.
– Respond to a wide variety of guest requests by accurately assessing the guest’s needs and requests.
– Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.

Working hours are from 10 P.M. until 6 A.M.

Part-time day shifts are available as well.

Requirements:

– Previous experience in a hotel reception or night auditor role is required.
– Available to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
– Ability to work independently during overnight hours and have excellent time management skills.
– The night auditor position requires continuous standing for 8 hours a day.
– Occasional lifting or carrying of objects weighing 10-30 pounds.
– Outgoing, friendly and warm personality and a can-do approach to any task.
– Strong knowledge of hotel operations, including reservation systems and check-in/check-out processes.
– Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with guests and team members.
– Detail-oriented mindset, ensuring accuracy in guest information and record-keeping.
– Excellent problem-solving skills, capable of resolving guest issues effectively, efficiently and independently.
– Proficiency in computer systems, including MS Office Suite and hotel management software.
– Flexibility to work a demand-based schedule, including weekends and holidays.
– Because of the fluctuating demands of the company’s operation, it may be necessary that each employee performs a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your position, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employees are expected to help you.
