Job Summary

The Mobile Crane Operator is responsible for safely operating 50-ton to 70-ton mobile cranes to lift, move, position, and place construction materials, equipment, and structural components on project sites. The operator must follow all safety regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and company procedures while ensuring efficient crane operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate 50-ton to 70-ton mobile cranes safely and efficiently.
  • Perform daily pre-operation inspections and complete equipment checklists.
  • Lift, transport, position, and place materials according to lift plans and site requirements.
  • Read and understand load charts, lifting capacities, and crane operating manuals.
  • Coordinate lifting operations with riggers, signalers, and site supervisors.
  • Ensure cranes are properly set up, including outriggers, ground stability, and counterweights.
  • Follow approved lifting procedures and comply with all safety regulations.
  • Stop operations immediately if unsafe conditions are identified.
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of the crane.
  • Report equipment defects, malfunctions, and maintenance requirements promptly.
  • Maintain accurate daily operation and inspection records.
  • Assist with mobilization and demobilization of cranes when required.
  • Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and free from hazards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid Mobile Crane Operator License/Certification as required by local regulations.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience operating 50-ton to 70-ton mobile cranes in construction projects.
  • Good understanding of crane load charts, lifting techniques, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, riggers, and signalers.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge of crane systems is an advantage.

Safety Requirements

  • Always wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Comply with company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies.
  • Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings.
  • Never exceed the crane’s rated lifting capacity.
  • Follow approved lifting plans and emergency procedures at all times.

Preferred Certifications

  • Mobile Crane Operator Certification
  • Rigging and Slinging Awareness Training
  • First Aid/CPR Certification (preferred)
  • HSE or Construction Safety Training

Pay: AED2,500.00 – AED3,000.00 per month
