Responsibilities of Call Center Scheduler and Receptionist

This cross trained position requires that the candidate:
– Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
– Answer phone calls
– Schedule and reschedule patient appointments. Confirming appointments
– Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments
– Maintain and update patient records and ensure accuracy of information
– Assist with medical administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents

_ Must have excellent attendance and reliable transportation
– Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality

Experience:
– Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role is required
– Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
– Proficiency in using medical scheduling software
– Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle multiple calls simultaneously

Skills:
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
– Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
– Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
– Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
