We are seeking a dedicated, energetic Medical Assistant to join our Eterna team! The ideal candidate will assist Dr. Elizabeth Hernandez & aestheticians in providing patient care in our surgical clinic & medical spa.

Duties include:
– Perform clinical tasks, including taking vital signs and medical histories
– Assist with patient examinations and procedures
– Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
– Prepare patients for examinations & procedures
– Maintain cleanliness of examination rooms. Assists with maintenance of clinical area including setting up, stocking and cleaning procedure room and all treatment rooms

– Cleans and sterilizes instruments.
– Update and maintain electronic health records (EHR)

– Apply numbing cream

– Takes clinical photos of patients

– Witnesses patient consent and verifies that proper consent forms are signed prior to procedures

– Performs injections

– Performs phlebotomy and prepares patient’s plasma using centrifuge
– Provides patient education on treatment plans and medication instructions

– Collects soiled robes and linens, operates washing machine & dryer; loads and unloads machines; folds clean laundry; disposes of unusable items and reports need for replacement; stores and secures supplies and equipment; cleans laundry area

Requirements
– Clinic Assistant requires a Medical Assistant Certificate from an approved medical assistant training program (such as is offered by a private or non-profit vocational training program, adult education or community college program etc.) and 2 years of back office experience. The Medical Assistant Certificate must be provided to employer.
