Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care across diverse medical settings. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and facilitate smooth patient intake processes.
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates accurately.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, including aesthetic treatments and surgeries, X-ray imaging, or medication administration.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining steps, ensuring comfort, and maintaining sterile environments.
- Manage documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems with precision, including ICD coding and medical history updates.
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as specimen collection or processing tests related to physiology or anatomy assessments.
- Assist with emergency situations in acute care or Level I/II trauma centers by providing immediate support under supervision.
- Maintain compliance with safety protocols like Basic Life Support (BLS) standards and hospital policies.
- Support administrative duties such as appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and patient education.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology relevant to inpatient and outpatient care.
- Experience working in dermatology clinics, hospital medicine units, urgent care centers, or emergency departments.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for accurate documentation and coding (ICD).
- Ability to perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for procedures, and assisting with medication administration.
- Familiarity with X-ray procedures and basic radiology support is a plus.
- Knowledge of hospital experience requirements across Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers is advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments like medical-surgical units or internal medicine clinics.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in outpatient or inpatient settings.
