Position Title: Medical Assistant (Clinic)

Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (Flexible)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (no evenings, every other weekend)

Holidays: Paid holidays off

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Assistant (MA) with at least 6months to one year of clinic experience to join our care team. The MA will support providers in delivering excellent outpatient care, including rooming patients, clinical procedures, documentation, and coordination of care.

Responsibilities

· Perform patient intake, including vital signs and medical history.

· Prepare patients and exam rooms for providers.

· Assist providers with in-office procedures (wound care, EKGs, immunizations, specimen collection, e.t.c).

· Administer vaccines and medications as ordered.

· Document accurately in the EHR system.

· Maintain exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and follow infection control protocols.

· Support patient education and discharge instructions.

· Ensure compliance with OSHA, MDH, and HIPAA regulations.

· Collaborate with providers, nurses, and front desk staff to ensure patient flow.

Qualifications

· High School Diploma or equivalent (required).

· Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (required).

· Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered MA (RMA) credential preferred.

· Minimum of 6 months to 1 year clinic experience (primary care/family practice preferred).

· Current CPR/BLS certification.

· Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.

· Commitment to patient-centered and culturally sensitive care.
