Overview Of The Role:


The Manager of Liquidity & Risk Management within the Global Treasury Center is instrumental in supporting and executing core treasury functions, focusing on liquidity optimization and risk management. The role involves managing cash and liquidity transactions, implementing risk management frameworks, and ensuring compliance with treasury policies. The manager collaborates closely with senior management and other stakeholders to align treasury strategies with the company’s financial goals, thereby safeguarding stability and profitability across the Group.


What You Will Do:

Liquidity and Cash Management

  • Determine Group cash levels in UAE and ensure a minimum cash buffer is maintained at the Group level.
  • Monitor and manage daily cash positions across subsidiaries; assess funding requirements; and oversee pooling arrangements to optimize liquidity concentration in GTC header accounts.
  • Ensure timely funding of the header account to prevent overnight overdrafts and maintain adequate liquidity levels.
  • Proactively identify potential risks and implement appropriate controls to mitigate them.
  • Ensure proper records are maintained in Treasury Management Systems (TMS) for all transactions.
  • Optimize funding costs whilst managing short term liquidity and planning for future liquidity requirements.
  • Ensure compliance to the Annual Treasury Limits and Cash Management SOPs.

Short term Cash Flow Forecasts

  • Report and analyse a short term 12-month rolling direct cash flow forecast on a bi-weekly basis in conjunction with divisions and business units’ financial planning and analysis (FP&A) teams.
  • Prepare Group 12 months direct cash flow forecast report on a monthly basis.
  • Perform regular review sessions with Divisions and provide bi-weekly updates.
  • Perform regular variance analysis reports and discuss deviations with the divisions.
  • Consolidate and maintain cash flow forecasts in Anaplan.
  • Report and discuss significant variances with the divisions / brands.

Counterparty Risk Management

  • Update and maintain records of counterparty exposures in line with the Group’s risk management framework.
  • Monitor exposures against established limits and flag any breaches or exceptions.
  • Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management to support decision-making.
