Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Use schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues with equipment or infrastructure, implementing effective repairs promptly.
- Operate tools such as welders, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic devices to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems.
- Conduct residential painting projects and minor carpentry tasks to maintain facility aesthetics.
- Manage facilities maintenance records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and asset history.
- Assist with supervising maintenance activities when needed, providing guidance to junior team members or contractors.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all maintenance tasks, including welding or electrical work, to uphold a safe working environment.
- Be able to climb up and down stairs up to 50 lbs
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field within manufacturing or residential settings.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience, including reading schematics and using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters.
- Hands-on skills in welding, plumbing, carpentry, or painting are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and their troubleshooting is a plus.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in maintenance roles demonstrates ability to oversee projects and mentor team members.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration across teams.
