Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic facilities team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of our manufacturing and residential facilities. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment by performing a wide range of technical tasks, troubleshooting issues, and supporting ongoing facility improvements. Duties
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure to ensure continuous operation.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support automation processes and troubleshoot control system faults.
- Conduct welding repairs and fabrications as needed to maintain equipment integrity.
- Execute residential painting tasks to support facility aesthetics and upkeep.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings for accurate repairs and installations.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
- Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Support manufacturing operations by maintaining machinery uptime and optimizing equipment performance.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from internal teams or external clients.
- Lead or assist in supervising maintenance staff or contractors during complex repairs or projects.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong electrical experience including troubleshooting with schematics and using tools like ohmmeters.
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on skills in welding, mechanical repairs, and equipment servicing.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems used in manufacturing processes.
- Experience reading technical diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management and maintenance tracking.
- Supervisory or leadership experience overseeing maintenance teams or projects is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces safely.
