Job Overview:
The Logistics Store Worker / Store Keeper will be responsible for handling, storing, and maintaining frozen food products in the warehouse. The role involves ensuring accurate inventory control, proper cold storage handling, and timely preparation of goods for dispatch while complying with food safety and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store frozen food products in designated cold storage areas.
- Check and verify incoming stock against delivery notes/invoices.
- Maintain accurate stock records in the system/manual registers.
- Pick, pack, and prepare goods for dispatch as per delivery orders.
- Ensure proper storage conditions to maintain cold chain integrity.
- Conduct regular stock counts, cycle checks, and assist in monthly inventory reconciliation.
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) principles.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards are maintained in the storage areas.
- Report damages, shortages, or discrepancies to the supervisor immediately.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment (if certified).
- Support audits and inspections as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years’ experience in warehouse/storekeeping, preferably in frozen foods or FMCG industry.
- Knowledge of cold chain handling and storage requirements.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management (ERP/WMS experience preferred).
- Physically fit and able to work in cold storage environments.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred:
- Forklift/Reach Truck operator license.
- Experience in HACCP/ISO 22000-compliant storage facilities.
- Multilingual (English required; Arabic/Hindi/Tagalog an advantage).
