Job Overview:

We are seeking to hire a Logistics Officer with automotive experience to lead shipping and customs operations. This strategic role focuses on managing freight procurement, customs clearance, and fleet coordination to ensure smooth operations processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee logistics operations and lead cross-functional teams including warehouse and logistics agents.
  • Manage ocean freight procurement and negotiate competitive rates with carriers and freight forwarders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customs brokers, freight partners, and transport providers.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and the company’s internal trade compliance policies.
  • Oversee customs clearance procedures and documentation.
  • Apply for temporary import tariff refunds.
  • Supervise the in-house fleet and optimize cross-border shipment planning.
  • Monitor cargo delivery, address delays and ensure timely shipping schedules are maintained.
  • Generate reports on logistics performance.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration (MBA preferred).
  • Strong expertise in customs documentation, compliance regulations, and international shipping standards.
  • Prior UAE logistics experience is mandatory, ideally within the automotive import/export industry.
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
