Job Summary
The Location Supervisor provides full back-up to the location manager with daily operations and implementing company directives. This position is responsible for ensuring high levels of employee and customer satisfaction and building community relationships. This position will be responsible for inventory management, facility operations and product movement.
Duties
- Oversees daily activities of the location. Has primary responsibility for the following: *Grain condition, storage, and movement. *Inventory management and ordering to ensure timely availability. This includes seed, feed, fertilizer and all other miscellaneous items. *Supervision and scheduling of outside staff to ensure completion of tasks.
- Provides back-up to office staff to ensure accounting processes are followed and completed timely.
- Ensures that customer needs are met and exceeded at every opportunity.
- Assists with the training of location employees. Makes sure that employees receive safety training, that equipment is in good working order and that the location is free of safety hazards.
- Maintains appearance of the location.
- Treats seed, wheat and beans as needed.
- Maintains relationships with peers, other department heads and vendor community.
- Communicates clearly and directly with peers and customers. Approachable, relates well to others, engages people, articulates clearly and actively listens.
