Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, maintaining consistency and quality in every dish
- Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients and suggesting improvements based on culinary experience
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, sanitation protocols, and hygiene standards
- Support food presentation and plating to ensure visually appealing dishes that delight guests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and work stations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service times
- Contribute to catering events or special functions by preparing large quantities of food with efficiency and precision
Experience
- Previous kitchen experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is highly preferred
- Experience working in fine dining establishments or catering environments is a plus
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, including knife skills and meal assembly
- Familiarity with dietary department requirements and dietary aide experience is advantageous
- Demonstrated understanding of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices
- Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality
- Background in menu planning, food service, and culinary arts will help you excel in this role
