Experienced Line Cook – FIREWATER KITCHEN + BAR. We are located on the shores of beautiful Deep Creek Lake, Maryland. EMPLOYEE HOUSING AVAILABLE.
APPLICANT – You will serve customers with the consistency and quality food that they expect from our establishment. You will work as a team to create a memorable dining experience for all of our guests. You must be able to work in a fast paced environment. Knowledge and experience working grill, fryer and sauté stations are a plus. You are responsible for the preparation, presentation and execution of all items on the menu. 40+ hours a week. Pay based on experience. Full time, year round employment. Must be able to work 10+ hour long shifts and work well with our amazing staff of culinarians. You must have a good attitude, sense of humor, and a passion for cooking.
EVERY DAY, YOU WILL –
- Know and understand every item on the menu (including portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules); Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
- Work closely with the Kitchen Manager to provide consistency on every plate.
- Timing is everything; work on timing to get every ticket out in an appropriate amount of time.
- During prime service hours, stay focused on designated tasks. Communicate consistently with co-workers.
- Always look for ways to be productive.
- Open/close the kitchen properly and follow the opening/closing checklist for kitchen stations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS – You are regularly required to stand, lift, and carry items that may weigh up to 30 pounds. The environment can sometimes be hot and demanding.
