Requirements

• Hold a valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle class
• Carry required documentation (license, registration, insurance)
• Comply with all traffic laws and road regulations
• Stay informed about changes to traffic rules and regulations
• Must be flexible with working hours based on operational requirements.

Safety Responsibilities

• Ensure all passengers wear seatbelts
• Never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Avoid distracted driving (mobile phones, eating, etc.)
• Maintain safe following distances and speed limits
• Use indicators and mirrors appropriately
• Be aware of blind spots and vulnerable road users (pedestrians, cyclists)
• Adjust driving for weather and road conditions
• Take regular breaks on long journeys to avoid fatigue

Vehicle Maintenance:

• Conduct regular pre-drive checks (tires, lights, fluids, brakes)
• Ensure the vehicle is roadworthy at all times
• Schedule regular servicing according to manufacturer recommendations
• Address mechanical issues promptly
• Keep the vehicle clean and free of obstructions that could impair driving

Professional Standards :

• Maintaining logbooks and duty records.
• Following company policies and procedures.
• Loading vehicles safely within weight limits.
• Securing cargo properly.
• Representing the employer professionally.
