Role Summary

The Laundry Pressman is responsible for finishing garments to the highest quality standards using steam irons, pressing machines, or finishing equipment. This role ensures that all items are pressed, crease-free, and delivered on time, maintaining Green Laundry’s premium service quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Press, iron, and finish garments (shirts, trousers, abayas, kandoras, uniforms, hotel linens, etc.) using industrial pressing machines.
• Inspect garments for stains, damages, or improper cleaning before pressing.
• Adjust heat, pressure, and steam levels according to fabric type and customer requirements.
• Maintain finishing quality as per Green Laundry’s premium standards.
• Tag and organize finished items for packing or delivery.
• Report any damaged or missing items to the supervisor immediately.
• Follow proper fabric-care techniques to avoid burns, shine marks, and fabric damage.
• Maintain cleanliness and order around the pressing station.
• Ensure safe operation of irons and machines, following all safety guidelines.
• Assist in general laundry operations when required (folding, sorting, packing).
• Meet daily productivity targets and deadlines.

Requirements

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a pressman in a commercial laundry.
• Strong understanding of fabrics and garment finishing techniques.
• Ability to operate industrial steam irons and pressing machines.
• Good attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work standing for long hours.
• Basic communication skills (English or Hindi/Urdu).
• Must be reliable, punctual, and well-disciplined.
